Chicago lakefront approaching from the southeast.
Meigs Field proudly graces the Chicago lakefront and serves as a reminder that this is the City That Works. It's surprising, then, that the City is determined to shut it down in favor of a nature park. Let's not forget that it's located at 42 degrees north latitude and is pretty darned cold for at least half of the year.

While it's easy to despise the big shots who use Meigs, let us not forget that these are the same guys that decide where they'll do business and hold conventions. If access to the city is not convenient, then believe me, they'll find some place else.
